I'm an award-winning journalist, editor, and filmmaker who loves telling compelling stories about people, places, and things, either as a one-man operation or part of a team. (Yeah, I also love the Oxford comma.)
I've spent most of my career editing and writing at alternative weekly newspapers, but I've also written for the Los Angeles Times, a website that's all about dogs, and album liner notes for punk rock bands. I'm currently based in Salt Lake City, Utah.
I love working with writers and helping them sculpt their narratives, as well as teaching them how to shoot short video clips when covering an assignment. I encourage a sense of humor in any story (when appropriate, natch). I'm big on video content, and fluent in all social media platforms.
A former boss once told me she thought my expectations were too high. I took it as a compliment.
